Cancellation & Refund Policy

Last Updated: September 15, 2026

1. Purpose and Scope

This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains how cancellations and eligible refunds are generally handled for Bookings made through SvaVeda.

SvaVeda is a technology-enabled marketplace operated by Lifewise Ventures Private Limited. Programs are independently offered by Experts. This Policy should be read together with SvaVeda’s Terms & Conditions and the cancellation terms applicable to the relevant Program and Booking.

Nothing in this Policy limits any right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

2. Applicable Cancellation Terms

Cancellation and refund eligibility may differ depending on the Program.

The cancellation terms applicable to the relevant Program and Booking will generally be made available before or as part of the Booking process. These terms, together with this Policy and applicable law, determine whether a cancellation is eligible for a refund and, where applicable, the amount of that refund.

You should review the applicable cancellation terms before making a Booking.

Dispute / Issue Reporting Window

If you have experienced a serious issue during or after a Program, you may report it to SvaVeda within 3 days of the Program’s completion through the Contact Us form by selecting the appropriate section. SvaVeda may review concerns relating to an Expert failing to conduct the Program, an unauthorised last-minute cancellation by the Expert, fraud or deliberate misrepresentation, misconduct or inappropriate behaviour, unsafe situations or serious risks to participants, or other significant breaches of SvaVeda’s policies.

Where appropriate, SvaVeda may review the information provided, seek clarification from the relevant parties and determine the appropriate course of action in accordance with its applicable policies. SvaVeda generally does not intervene in matters relating to personal preferences, teaching style, delivery approach or subjective satisfaction with a Program. Concerns should be reported within 3 days of the Program’s completion; concerns raised after this period may not be reviewed.

3. Seeker-Initiated Cancellations

If a Seeker wishes to cancel a Booking, the cancellation should be made through the applicable SvaVeda process.

The timing of a cancellation request will generally be determined based on the relevant record generated through that process.

Whether a refund is available, and the amount of any eligible refund, will depend on the cancellation terms applicable to that Booking, subject to this Policy and applicable law.

A Seeker should not assume that cancelling a Booking automatically entitles them to a refund.

4. Payment Processing Deduction

Where a Seeker is eligible for a refund following a Seeker-initiated cancellation, the refund may be subject to a deduction of up to 3% of the amount paid towards applicable payment processing charges.

The applicable deduction, if any, will be determined under the version of this Policy applicable to the Booking. Any future change to this provision will apply prospectively and will not alter an amount already payable under an earlier applicable version, except where required by law.

5. Expert Cancellations

If an Expert cancels a Program or is unable to provide it substantially as booked, affected Seekers may be entitled to an appropriate refund in accordance with the circumstances, applicable Booking terms and applicable law.

SvaVeda may coordinate the relevant marketplace process, but the Expert remains the provider of the underlying Program.

Where appropriate, SvaVeda may communicate available next steps to affected Seekers. The handling of an Expert-caused cancellation does not imply that SvaVeda has become the provider of the Program.

6. Material Changes to a Program

A Program may occasionally be affected by a material change.

Where a change made by an Expert reasonably and materially affects the nature of the booked Program, SvaVeda may review the circumstances and facilitate an appropriate remedy, which may include a refund where applicable.

Not every change will be treated as material. Reasonable changes that do not substantially alter the nature of the Program may not create a right to cancel or receive a refund.

7. No-Shows and Late Arrival

Unless applicable Program terms or circumstances require otherwise, a Seeker who does not attend a Program, arrives too late to reasonably participate, or voluntarily leaves after the Program has commenced will not automatically be entitled to a refund.

Experts and Programs may have reasonable participation, arrival or entry requirements, which should be reviewed where made available before the Booking.

8. Exceptional Circumstances

Occasionally, a Program or Booking may be affected by circumstances outside the reasonable control of the relevant parties, such as severe weather, natural events, public restrictions, venue emergencies, transport disruption or other significant events.

In such cases, SvaVeda may consider the circumstances, the applicable Program terms and applicable law in determining or facilitating the appropriate marketplace response.

A particular exceptional circumstance does not automatically guarantee a refund where another reasonable outcome is appropriate under the circumstances or applicable law.

9. Refund Processing

Where a refund is approved or otherwise due, SvaVeda will generally initiate the applicable refund through the original payment method or another lawful and appropriate method where necessary.

The time taken for funds to appear may depend on payment service providers, banks or other parties outside SvaVeda’s direct control.

We may need to verify information or resolve a payment-related issue before processing a refund.

10. Payment Reversals and Disputes

A payment reversal, chargeback or dispute raised through a bank, card issuer or payment provider is different from an ordinary cancellation or refund request.

Such matters may require separate review and may affect the timing or manner in which a Booking, payment or refund is handled. Users should provide reasonable cooperation where information is required to review or resolve the matter.

11. Contact

If you have a question or concern regarding a cancellation or refund, you may contact us through the contact details or support channels made available on the Platform.

We will make reasonable efforts to understand the matter and, where appropriate, facilitate communication or take other reasonable action consistent with SvaVeda’s role as a marketplace.

Final Clarifications

Where a Program is proposed to be rescheduled, applicable options and any cancellation or refund rights depend on the circumstances, applicable Booking terms and applicable law. If a Program is materially interrupted or only partly delivered, an appropriate remedy may be considered based on the circumstances and extent of delivery. Duplicate payments, incorrect charges or other technical payment errors may be investigated and reasonably corrected separately from a Seeker-initiated cancellation.
